Sherry Heaton, 67

Sherry Lytle Heaton, 67, of Hendersonville died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Mission Hospitals.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Geoffrey and Frances Cornwell Lytle. She was the owner and operator of A Touch of Beauty Salon in Edneyville for 30 years. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church.

She is survived by her companion of 24 years, James Newbold; her son, Geoffrey Heaton and his fiancé, Elizabeth, of Hendersonville; her daughter, Stephanie King and her husband, Travis, of Newport News, Va.; and her sister, Bobbe Heaton and her husband, Charles, of Hendersonville.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thos. Shepherd’s Church St. Chapel. The Rev. Harold McKinnish will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church, P.O. Box 36, Dana, N.C. 28724.
