Boyd M. Hyder Jr., 47

Boyd M. Hyder Jr., 47, died unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008.

He was a native of Hendersonville and is survived by his father, Boyd M. Hyder Sr., and many friends.

He had a lawn care business and mowed grass with a passion. He was a volunteer for many years delivering Meals on Wheels. He also loved gardening, calendars and fire trucks. Most recently, he enjoyed a trip to Gatlinburg with his good friend, Jimmy, and riding on a float in the Apple Festival parade.

He was a kind and gentle man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
