The Asheville Citizen-Times reported that the march will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday. It's being organized by students at Warren Wilson College in nearby Swannanoa and other Hispanic advocates. A prayer vigil will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Congregational Church of Christ.
March organizer Joelle Kellem said participants will protest the raid Tuesday morning at Mills Manufacturing. Agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 57 workers.
Of those arrested, federal agents released 29 who had children or other pressing needs and gave them orders to appear in immigration court. Officials said the rest remain in detention in Charlotte and Georgia.

Wouldn't this be a good place for Immigration to show up? Surround the place and check IDs. And anyone who was legal could be cited for aiding and abetting.
Protest enforcing the law....sheesh!!

It does seem like a bad idea, this close to the roundup of the illegals. Perhaps the students of Warren Wilson should concentrate on their studies, instead of shooting themselves in the foot.

as many legitimate concerns there are to march about and they choose this. i guess it is the most liberal thing they could find.

Would any care to guess whethere the protesters are Hussein Obama supporters or McCain supporters?

I happened to get stuck in the traffic surrounding this protest. Contrary to popular alarmist belief, it looked like it was mostly caucasian kids around 18-20 years old, probably students...not sure. I doubt ICE would have had much success deporting anyone from the protest. While I may be a liberal, I definitely do not share the view of this group.
Hondadriver...I wonder who the members of Westboro Baptist Church will support...McCain or Obama? Kinda the same comparison I think, at least on one level.
