Ernest Belles Toth, 84, of Hendersonville passed away Sunday at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Ala. 

He was born October 10, 1923, in Trenton, N.J.

Dearly beloved and devoted husband, father and “Pop-Pop”, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie E. Kelty Toth of Hendersonville; daughter, Marjorie L. Toth Harris of Huntsville, Ala; son, Richard E. Toth and his wife, Janice, of Orange, Calif.; grandchildren, Cheryl L. Harris Ramos and her husband, John, of Huntsville, Ala., Maj. Christopher L. Toth Harris and his wife, Amanda, of Dahlonega, Ga., Madalyn and Julia Toth of Orange, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Tiana and Trevor John Ramos of Huntsville, Ala., Michael D. Toth Harris of Dahlonega, Ga., and sister-in-law Bonnie Kelty Bodnar and husband, Albert, of Sewell, N.J.; and several nephews.

He was an Army Air Corp World War II veteran of the Pacific Campaign and a Mason.  He retired after 25 years from the RCA Space Center in Hightstown, N.J., where he was a leading engineer in many of NASA’s first space programs including the Apollo program. He retired to Hendersonville where he was a recognized and decorated woodcarver.

Laughlin Service Funeral Home is assisting the family.
