Hey, merchants, get some exercise

To The Editor: With interest, I read the Saturday letter saying we should
save valuable gas and water by not continuing to have a city tanker truck
water the hanging baskets in downtown Hendersonville.
However, the flowers need water. I therefore would suggest the local merchants take on the responsibility, get needed exercise and water the plants from atop their cars, parked conveniently in front of their shops.
