Truth is, CO2 is not to blame

To The Editor: Hendersonville's well-meaning Sierra Club and Global Warming Task Force should learn the truth before echoing the call for a lemming march to the sea. Their unproven CO2 assertions only encourage catastrophic misallocations of global resources.

Vast areas of green space are being plowed under for palm oil and ethanol in the name of controlling climate change. Carbon cap trading programs are unleashing incentives for global corruption that will make the congressional Indian-casino-approval-for-contributions scandal look like children cheating at monopoly.

Climate is chaos physics. Minimal investigation reveals that neither climate change forecasting nor CO2 warming impact quantification exists with any degree of useful certainty. Baloney fills the knowledge void: n Malaria, once native to a cooler Europe, Russia and the U.S., is misrepresented as a tropical disease spread by CO2 warming.

- CO2, a natural component of the atmosphere and potent air born plant fertilizer, is misleadingly called pollution.

n Pundits abandon logic to claim global warming is proof of catastrophic CO2 warming.

- Inconvenient Truth, the poster child of CO2 apocalypse prophets, highlights fraudulent hockey stick temperature graphs and misrepresents the historical relationship between temperature and CO2.

If CO2 catastrophes were backed by "settled science," deceit wouldn't be needed.
